FYKicks Legal
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how FYKicks (“FYKicks”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses and protects personal data when you use our website, submit a sneaker request or contact us.
1. Who controls your data
The controller of personal data processed through FYKicks is identified in section 13 of this Policy. For privacy questions or requests, contact concierge@fykicks.com.
FYKicks currently operates as a free, non-commercial project. Personal data is processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”) and applicable Polish data-protection law.
2. Data we collect
- Contact data, including your name and email address.
- Sneaker request data, including brand, model, style code, size, condition, budget and additional details.
- Messages and subject selections submitted through the contact form.
- Basic technical and usage data that may be recorded by our hosting, security or analytics providers, such as IP address, browser type, device information, timestamps and requested pages.
Please do not submit sensitive personal data or information that is not needed for your request.
3. Why we use your data
- To receive, research and respond to sneaker requests.
- To send relevant offers and seller information to your email.
- To answer support, business and partnership enquiries.
- To operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the website.
- To comply with legal obligations and establish or defend legal claims.
4. Legal bases
Depending on the context, we process data because it is necessary to take steps at your request or provide our service, because we have a legitimate interest in operating and securing FYKicks and responding to enquiries, because you have given consent, or because processing is required by law. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
5. Sharing and third parties
We may share data only where necessary with website hosting, email, security and technical service providers acting on our behalf, and with professional advisers or authorities where legally required. These providers may process personal data only to the extent necessary to provide the relevant service and subject to applicable data-protection requirements. We do not sell personal data.
6. International transfers
Some providers, marketplaces or sellers may be located outside your country or the European Economic Area. Where required, we use an approved transfer mechanism or other appropriate safeguards. You may contact us for information about applicable safeguards.
7. Retention
We keep ordinary customer enquiries and related correspondence only for as long as necessary to handle the enquiry or matter, but no longer than 12 months after its handling has ended. We may delete this data earlier as soon as it is no longer needed. We may retain it for longer only where required by law or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Technical records are retained according to the operational and security needs of the relevant provider. We delete or anonymise data when it is no longer required.
8. Cookies and external resources
The current website does not intentionally set advertising cookies. It may load resources such as web fonts from third-party providers, and the hosting platform may use essential technical storage or logs. If analytics, advertising or additional cookie-based tools are introduced, this notice and any required consent controls will be updated.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction or deletion of your data; restriction of or objection to processing; and portability of data you provided. You may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Requests may be sent to concierge@fykicks.com.
You may also lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. In Poland, this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych — UODO).
10. Security
We use reasonable organisational and technical measures designed to protect personal data. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please use care when deciding what information to submit.
11. Children
Our service is not directed to children. If you are not legally able to provide your data or use the service independently in your country, please involve a parent or legal guardian.
12. Automated decision-making
FYKicks does not use personal data to make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects solely through automated processing.
13. Data Controller details
The controller and operator of the FYKicks project is Marcin Rzeszowski.
Privacy contact: concierge@fykicks.com. Please include enough information for us to identify and respond to your request, but do not send identification documents unless we specifically ask for them.
14. Email communications
We use your email address to respond to the enquiry you initiated and to send information directly connected with it. We do not use enquiry details for unrelated direct marketing unless we first obtain any consent required by law. You can ask us to stop further non-essential communication at any time.
15. Links to third-party websites
Our messages and website may contain links to marketplaces, boutiques, sellers or other independent websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices, and FYKicks is not responsible for how those third parties process data after you visit or interact with them.
16. Data accuracy and source
Most personal data is obtained directly from you through our forms or correspondence. Please keep the information you provide accurate and tell us if it changes. We may also receive limited transaction or enquiry information from a seller or marketplace when needed to help resolve an issue you raised.
17. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes to our service, technology, providers or legal requirements. The latest version and effective date will appear on this page. Material changes will be highlighted where reasonably practicable.
